The majesty of a Western winter sky is hard to deny. The looming breadth and depth of numbing chill can take your breath away. Warmth and companionship become a distant memory. The fragile beauty of color and form can consume one's attention for hours. Movement becomes your only friend, a reminder you are alive but that at some point you need prepare to abandon your flirtation with the vastness of eternity. Either that, or succumb. |
